You can participate in any way you like:
As part of a group, or all by yourself, make one wee pompom , or any other piece, great or small, and then tie it up on the 9th of May, there where you like it to adorn a public place for one week.
Why to participate?
Because Craftbombing is

on above page you will find the VOLUNTARY ARTS 2014 National Craft Bomb Pack to download.
Penicuik: jump straight to the guide to the Process of Participation or read on here first
We (members of the Penicuik Community Arts Asscociation) must inform Midlothian Council where the craftbombs are going to be installed, as we need to make sure that certain H&S criteria are adhered to. If we do not comply the pieces will be removed.
Last year we had to remove some really beautiful pieces because we forgot to list the site.
This year we want to do better and bolder, have more people and groups involved, and put Penicuik’s brightening proudly on the National and International map. We hope to also install a map of Penicuik in the Library where you can mark the places in Penicuik you will brighten with your crafty piece. Peni is cuckoo about crafts! What will we manage to have created by the 9th May….?????? You are called to make it happen!
here are some promo flyers to choose from :
We will make space here on this blog for each group or project wishing to make Brightening Penicuik history 2014! You might not want to reveal your special plans to the public before the moment of installation in May? That is cool, too! We can keep a secret….
FAQ: “Will we get our craft pieces back after the week is over?”
We would hope so – but there is no guarantee. Uncertainty and surrender is part of the game…
